Communities First Acting Co-ordinator

 

The Communities First priorities are set by the Gibbonsdown and Court Community Partnership Board, which are reflected in the Partnership’s Strategic Action plan. 

The role of the Co-ordinator is to work with the Partnership Board (made up of Community, Voluntary and Statutory members) to ensure that poverty and disadvantage are tackled effectively.  The Co-ordinator supports the partnership in the development, co-ordination and implementation of capacity building and community action planning for the Communities First communities.

 

The Co-ordinator aims to review community action plans and identify links to wider strategies and potential resources.

The Co-ordinator aims to ensure that individuals and local groups/organisations from the Communities First areas have clear opportunities to become actively involved in and constructively contribute to the capacity building and development of a community action plan which reflects the needs of the communities concerned.
